Sharing Our Stories

Sharing Our Stories cover

I had a great time last week with the group of people who attended my Sharing Our Stories presentation at Essex Library.  It was raining like crazy so I thank them all for coming out in such miserable weather.

The update of my Sharing Our Stories book has gone to print and should be available in May.   I not only changed the size of the book (it is smaller now so easier to write notes in it) but also changed some content and added some photos.  A man who attended one of my presentations and got the current book sent me an email with this comment.

“Just finished going through your book from last night. I enjoyed it and think it’s an excellent outline for people trying to get into the swing of recording their lives or the lives of others.”

I hope the new edition will also get a warm reception.

Presentation Update

It was a dreary February day but fifty people attended my Lifestory presentation at Masonicare in Mystic CT.  The presentation reviews the different lifestory methods of Reminiscence, Life Review, Guided Autobiography, Memoir and Personal History to help people determine how they want to tell their story.

We had a great group conversation about sharing stories and people’s interest in genealogy and preserving photos and documents.  I have upcoming presentations at Essex Library, Masonicare’s communities in Chester, CT and Wallingford, CT and Mystic Library.  Please contact me if you would like to talk about having a presentation at your organization.
